Aaron Makaruk is a Senior Product Designer and Shuttleworth Fellow Alum with a strong background in managing both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as the CEO and Senior Product Designer at OSBeehives, they focus on creating a data-driven IoT platform for commercial honey producers. Previously, Aaron held roles as Lead Product Designer at AKER, where they developed urban farming kits, and as Product Designer at Open Source Ecology, working on sustainable industrial machinery. Additionally, they co-founded Youth On Record to provide music education to at-risk youth and have been instrumental in building innovative products recognized by major media outlets. Aaron is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder.
