Trevor Hays

Trevor Hays has a varied work experience. Trevor started in 2021 as a Garden Center Associate at Trail Gardens. From May to August of the same year, they worked as an Independent Consultant. Trevor then became an Independent Contractor from August 2021 to April 2022. Their next position was at LP3, where they worked as a Cybersecurity Engineer starting in April 2022. In this role, they focused on compliance services for SOC2, NIST 800-171, and CMMC frameworks, as well as compliance automation and business process automation using the M365 environment. Most recently, they joined Virginia Technical Institute in 2022. Trevor initially worked as a Laboratory Technician from November 2022 to January 2023 and then transitioned to the role of Assistant Dean of Instruction.

Trevor Hays pursued their education in Information Technology: Data Networking and Security with a focus on Cybersecurity at Liberty University from 2020 to 2022. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications throughout their educational journey. These certifications include CMMC Registered Practitioner Advanced (RPA) from The Cyber AB in May 2023, Linux Essentials from the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) in April 2023, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals from Microsoft in March 2023, CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in September 2022, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2023, Juniper Networks Certified Associate - Junos (JNCIA-Junos) from Juniper Networks in March 2021, Carpentry Level III Card from NCCER in November 2021, Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification from the American Red Cross in April 2021, Bloomberg Market Concepts from Bloomberg LP in February 2021, and 10-hour Construction Safety and Health from the US Department of Labor OSHA in November 2020.
