Matthew Conyers

Matthew Conyers serves as the Owner and Director of Seahorse Maritime Consulting since August 2016, specializing in marine navigation and risk management systems. With extensive experience in maritime operations, Matthew has held positions including Master at Interislander and Meridian Marine Management Limited, as well as Specialist Pilot at Port Nelson Limited, where responsibilities included designing safety management systems. Matthew has a solid foundation as a Marine Pilot, holding an unrestricted pilot license across various organizations, and has contributed as Vice President of the New Zealand Maritime Pilots' Association, focusing on safety and standards in marine pilotage. Educational qualifications include a degree in STCW Officer of the Watch and an STCW Master (Unlimited) from Warsash Maritime School.
