Jennifer Winter

Jennifer Winter has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jennifer began their career at Verité, where they served as a Program Assistant, supporting the delivery of supplier audits and trainings. Jennifer then joined The London School of Economics and Political Science as a Team Research Manager, leading a team to conduct research on social enterprises in Europe. Jennifer later worked as a Project Manager at Network Housing Group, leading a project to attain an Investors and Diversity Accreditation. At Clever Together, Jennifer served as an Environmental Policy Analyst, focusing on research related to the carbon abating effects of ICT-enabled products and services.

Jennifer also founded and served as the Managing Director of Fire Lantern, a responsible sourcing assessment firm. Jennifer conducted fieldwork in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, oversaw assessment and consultancy work, and managed and trained staff. Jennifer's experience also includes serving in the US Army as a Human Resources Specialist/Headquarters Detachment Administrator, providing administrative support to a military police battalion.

In their most recent role, Jennifer worked at ELEVATE, an LRQA company, where they held several positions including Associate Director of Growth and Customer Onboarding, Senior Manager of Business Development, and Regional Manager of USCAN. Most recently, they served as the Associate Director of North America, Assessment, Customer at LRQA.

Jennifer Winter completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Major History and Minor Classical Civilization at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2004 to 2008. Jennifer then pursued a Master of Science (Taught) degree in International Relations at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2009 to 2010. Following that, they obtained a Master of Science (Research) degree in Development Studies from LSE in 2012-2013. Additionally, they obtained Mandarin language certifications at both the beginner level from LSE and the intermediate level from Fudan University in 2013. Jennifer also achieved a certification in Religious Studies from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2004. Jennifer participated in a study abroad course in Greece through College Year in Athens in 2007.
