Sam Dignan is the Technical Head of Seafood at LRQA, specializing in responsible sourcing, certification, and sustainability within the seafood sector. With extensive experience as an auditor and scheme manager for various seafood certification programs, including the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), Sam has worked globally on fishery assessments in countries such as Ireland, the U.S., and Canada. Prior to this role, Sam served as a Fisheries Scientist, providing science-based management advice and conducting stock assessments. Sam holds a Master's degree in Marine Environmental Protection and a Bachelor's degree in Biological and Chemical Sciences with Zoology.
