LSST Discovery Alliance (LSST-DA) is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to maximizing the scientific impact of the Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST), conducted by the Vera C. Rubin Observatory.

We remove barriers to breakthrough science by equipping researchers with the tools, training, and collaborative networks needed to work with LSST’s unprecedented data. Our programs support scientists at every career stage—from undergraduates to senior researchers—and connect astronomy with data science, AI, and other disciplines that will define the future of discovery.

Founded as LSST Inc., we’ve been part of the LSST story from the beginning. Today, we are a dynamic alliance of academic institutions, research centers, and philanthropists working to ensure that anyone with a great question about the universe has what they need to pursue an answer.

Together, we are building a model for inclusive, data-intensive science that will shape the next generation of astrophysics—and beyond.
