Patrick Ryan is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at LSU AgCenter, focusing on wild turkey and predator ecology for a PhD dissertation. Prior experience includes serving as Board Member-Research Design for the Urban Wildlife Research Project, where Patrick contributed to a radio-collaring project studying gray foxes. As a Wildlife Biologist at Plateau Land & Wildlife Management, Inc., research ranged from mesocarnivore tracking at South Dakota State University to deer capture for CWD research at Southern Illinois University. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Wildlife Biology & Natural Resource Management from Louisiana State University, an MS in Conservation Biology from Texas Christian University, and a background in Environmental Science from Texas Christian University.

LSU AgCenter

The Louisiana State University Agricultural Center, known as the LSU AgCenter, is one of 11 institutions within the Louisiana State University System. The LSU AgCenter includes the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station, which conducts agricultural-based research, and the Louisiana Cooperative Extension Service, which extends the knowledge derived from research to the people of the state. The LSU AgCenter plays an integral role in supporting agricultural industries, enhancing the environment, and improving the quality of life through its 4-H youth, family and consumer sciences, and community development programs. The LSU AgCenter is headquartered in Baton Rouge and shares physical facilities with the LSU A&M campus, which is the state’s flagship university.
