Adam Elder has a diverse work experience, starting in 2010 as a Mathematics Teacher in Opelika City Schools and later in Ascension Public Schools. Adam then worked as a Research Intern in East Baton Rouge Parish School System and ACT in 2014 and 2016 respectively. In 2014, they also began their role as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Louisiana State University, which ended in 2017. Adam progressed to become an Assistant Professor, then an Associate Professor at Southeastern Louisiana University from 2017 to 2023. During this time, they taught courses, supervised students' study design and data analysis, and conducted research on research methods instruction and data use in education. In 2020, Adam worked as a Data Analyst at Louisiana State University, followed by a role as a Research and Policy Analyst at Systematic Equity Solutions, LLC in 2022. Adam also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UT Health San Antonio from 2022 to 2023. Currently, Adam is the Director of Strategic Analytics and an Instructor at Louisiana State University.
Adam Elder received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics Education from Auburn University in 2010. Adam then went on to obtain their Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education from Louisiana State University in 2014. Adam Elder continued their education at Louisiana State University and earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Research in 2017.
