Andy Nyman

Andy Nyman is a Professor at Louisiana State University, holding the Robert H. Chabreck Professorship in Coastal Wildlife Resource Management within the School of Renewable Natural Resources. They focus on wetland management and restoration, and also serve as the President and sole employee of River Oaks Wetland Services, Inc., providing expert testimony and advice on wetland restoration. Nyman began their career in 1985 at the Pass A Loutre Wildlife Management Area and has since earned a M.S. in Wildlife and a Ph.D. in Oceanography and Coastal Sciences from Louisiana State University. They have authored or co-authored 85 peer-reviewed publications, contributing significantly to the fields of wildlife and fish ecology as well as wetland conservation.
