Basant Awasthi is a Graduate Research Assistant at Louisiana State University since August 2021, engaged in a wetland restoration project in Louisiana's coastal region, responsible for UAV and LiDAR data collection, satellite imagery archiving, sampling, image processing, classification, and analysis. Prior to this role, Basant served as a Teaching Assistant at Kathmandu University from December 2018 to July 2021, delivering lectures and conducting practical classes on Topographical Surveying, Physical and Satellite Geodesy, while also managing the survey and photogrammetry labs and supervising undergraduate research projects.
