Bethany Hager

Bethany Hager is currently the Director of Louisiana A+ Schools at Louisiana State University, a position held since September 2023, after serving as Executive Director for Louisiana A+ Schools from November 2012 to September 2023. In these roles, Bethany Hager has focused on nurturing creativity through an arts-integrated school network, delivering transformations via professional development for educators. Previous experience includes leadership roles at the Louisiana Division of the Arts, where projects such as the Imagination, Creativity and Innovation Initiative were developed, and directing the Big Buddy Program, which provided mentorship for children in Baton Rouge. Bethany Hager began a career in education as a 2nd Grade Teacher with Teach for America and also served as Assistant Director of Readmissions at The New England Institute of Art. Bethany Hager holds a Master's and is pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Human Resource Development from Louisiana State University.
