Bill Ackley, BS, LP, is an experienced professional in emergency medical services and education. Currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor for the Paramedicine Degree Program at the University of New Haven since August 2023, Ackley focuses on EMS operations and preparedness. With a career spanning several decades, Ackley has held prominent roles including Deputy Emergency Management Director for the City of Stamford and EMS Captain/Paramedic, overseeing special operations and contingency planning. Additionally, Ackley has served as a Chief Operating Officer at Collaborative Preparedness, LLC, and as an adjunct instructor at Louisiana State University for courses on active threat response and critical decision-making. Ackley's leadership extends to chairing various committees, including the Special Operations & Preparedness Committee for the Connecticut EMS Region 1 and the EMS Advisory Board's Preparedness Committee for the Connecticut Department of Public Health.
