Bryan P. Piazza serves as the Director of Science at The Nature Conservancy, focusing on the conservation and restoration of freshwater and coastal wetland systems in Louisiana, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Mississippi River Basin since November 2022. In addition, Bryan holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Renewable Natural Resources at Louisiana State University (LSU), where responsibilities include mentoring graduate students and co-teaching a course on decision making in natural resource management. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Associate at LSU, a Coastal Restoration Scientist for the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, and a Wildlife Biologist for the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission. Bryan P. Piazza earned a Ph.D. in Oceanography and Coastal Sciences from LSU, a Master’s in Wildlife Science, and a Bachelor’s in Wildlife Management and Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
