Catherine Moon

Catherine Moon currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University since August 2018. Prior to this role, Catherine held various positions at the University of Maryland, Baltimore from September 2012 to September 2018, including Lead Research Specialist – Clinical, Research Specialist – Clinical, and Graduate Research Assistant. Catherine's academic career began at Penn State University, where responsibilities included Instructor and Research Associate from September 2003 to 2013. Earlier professional experience includes serving as Program Director at the Lancaster County Council of Churches (2002-2003) and Clinical Intake Coordinator at the Lowcountry Children's Center (1999-2000). Catherine earned a Ph.D. in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from the University of South Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Monmouth University.
