Chao Sun, Ph.D., P.E., M. ASCE, is an accomplished academic and engineering professional with extensive experience in structural analysis and design. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Louisiana State University since August 2015, Chao previously held the role of Assistant Professor and worked as a Senior Structural Engineer at INTECSEA, focusing on the structural analysis of floating structures for Shell projects. Chao's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Structural Engineering from Rice University, as well as a Master of Science from Tongji University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prior research experience includes a postdoctoral position at Rice University and an internship at T Rex.
