Chris Barsheff currently serves as Township Manager and Board Trustee for Garfield Township since November 2020. In addition, Chris holds a position as an NCBRT Instructor at Louisiana State University since April 2019 and has a long-standing career at the Grand Traverse County Sheriff's Office, where Chris has been a Captain since January 1996. Chris's educational background includes studies at Northwestern University from 2001 to 2004 and ongoing education at Eastern Michigan University. Chris also earned an Associate of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from Northwestern Michigan College and graduated with a High School Diploma in General Studies from Traverse City High School in 1992.
