Doug Hanly

Doug Hanly, MBA, CFA, CAIA, currently serves as the Chief Investment Officer for the Louisiana State Police Retirement System, where assets have grown to $1 billion. In addition, Doug serves as an Adjunct Professor at Louisiana State University, teaching a course on Hedge Fund Investing that encompasses various aspects of financial markets and investment strategies. Prior to these roles, Doug was the Chief Investment Officer at Atala Financial, overseeing the management of over $200 million in assets, and founded Emerald Necklace Investments, where a public equities strategy achieved record returns while at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Doug holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Finance from Fordham University.
