Erik Johnson

Assistant Professor

Erik Johnson serves as an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University and holds the position of Adjunct Research Faculty in Renewable Natural Resources since 2011. In addition, Erik Johnson has been with the National Audubon Society from May 2011 to August 2025, where roles included Director of Conservation Science for Audubon Delta, Director of Bird Conservation for Audubon Louisiana, and Conservation Biologist focusing on the Gulf of Mexico and Mississippi Flyway. Erik Johnson earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Wildlife, Fish and Wildlands Science and Management from Louisiana State University, completing the degree in 2011, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Studies from Dickinson College, awarded in 2001.
