Gail Cramer currently serves as a Professor and Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at Louisiana State University since December 2000, focusing on the administration of teaching, extension, and research while also raising grant funds. Prior to this, Gail Cramer was the L.C. Carter Professor of Marketing and Policy at the University of Arkansas from June 1987 to December 2000, where significant contributions included involvement with the World Rice Model and economic research across Asia, Latin America, Europe, and Africa, as well as heading the China Research Center. Gail Cramer holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Oregon State University, earned from 1964 to 1968.
