Greg Trahan

Greg Trahan is currently the Director of Economic Development at Louisiana State University, a position held since February 2016, where responsibilities include building research capacity and fostering connections between industry and research initiatives. In 2022, Greg Trahan was appointed as Special Advisor for Cyber Initiatives to LSU President Tate, overseeing strategic efforts in cyber and defense. Prior to LSU, Greg served as the Director of Business Development at Louisiana Economic Development from August 2012 to February 2016, contributing to the creation of over 3,000 new technology jobs in the state. Previously, Greg was involved with Legacy.com from May 2000 to September 2012 as the Manager of Advertising Initiatives and Strategy, playing a key role in establishing the site as one of the most-visited online platforms. Greg Trahan earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University from 1995 to 1999.
