Iulia Basaraba

Iulia Basaraba is currently a Fellow in Pulmonary & Critical Care at Louisiana State University, having started in July 2025. Prior to this role, Iulia worked as an Internal Medicine Physician at Cone Health from September 2023 to June 2025 and served as a Clinical Research Coordinator at PulmonIx, LLC during the same period. Iulia completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Cone Health from July 2020 to June 2023, following experience as a Medical Scribe at Elite Medical Scribes from January 2015 to June 2016, where responsibilities included documenting patient histories and assessments. Earlier roles included serving as a Clerical Assistant at Southern Tennessee Cardiology in the summer of 2014, handling mail organization and financial record maintenance, and working as an Advocate at Health Leads from September 2011 to May 2014, facilitating connections between patients and essential services. Iulia earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine (2016-2020) and a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Biology from Boston University (2010-2014).
