James Davis

Faculty

James Davis, PhD, serves as a faculty member at Louisiana State University since August 2013, where teachings focus on blockchain, entrepreneurship, and data science methods for both graduate and undergraduate students. Additionally, James holds the director positions for the MS in Analytics Program and the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute, fostering entrepreneurial practices through education and outreach. James is currently co-chair of the Healthcare Special Interest Group at the Hyperledger Foundation and serves as a lecturer at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge. As co-founder and CTO of Relief.health, a telemedicine company, James has developed an enterprise-leading video platform. Previous roles include technology advisor and chief technology officer in various organizations and serving as a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army Reserve. James holds a PhD in Information Systems and Decision Science from Louisiana State University and additional credentials in FinTech, blockchain applications, and computer science.
