Joy Blanchard

Joy Blanchard currently serves as an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Graduate Programs in Higher Education at Louisiana State University since August 2015, focusing on teaching graduate-level courses in student affairs and higher education. Prior to this role, Joy Blanchard worked as an Assistant Professor at Florida International University from August 2010 to July 2015, also teaching graduate-level courses in the same fields. Earlier in career, Joy Blanchard was the Assistant Dean of Students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from August 2002 to January 2004, responsible for administering the student code of conduct and supervising residence hall staff. Joy Blanchard's academic qualifications include a Master of Jurisprudence in Labor & Employment Law from Tulane University Law School, a Ph.D. in Higher Education from The University of Georgia, an MS in Higher Education from Florida State University, and an Honors BS in French Education/Journalism from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, alongside a certificate in Financial Success for Nonprofit Organizations and Public Sector Leadership from Cornell University.
