Kim Tyler is an experienced educator and administrator with a diverse career spanning over three decades in various educational roles. Currently serving at Louisiana State University in the School of Education since January 2023, Kim previously held the position of Director of Implementation Success at Great Minds from August 2021 to August 2024. Prior experience includes serving as an educator with the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) from August 2017 to August 2021, as well as an associate professor at Texas Wesleyan University from 2006 to 2017. Additionally, Kim worked as a teacher in the York County School Division and the Department of Defense Education Activity, along with roles as a classroom teacher at Wedgewood Elementary School. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Educational Policy, Planning, and Leadership with an emphasis in Gifted Administration from William & Mary, and a Master's degree in Special Education/Gifted Education from The University of Southern Mississippi, along with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University.
