Lawrence Williams

Lawrence Williams is an experienced music educator currently serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Louisiana State University since June 2022, where responsibilities include conducting multiple ensembles and teaching undergraduate conducting courses. Prior to this role, Lawrence was the Assistant Band Director at McIntosh High School in Fayette County Public Schools, achieving Superior ratings at various performance assessments. Previous positions also include Band Director at Summerour Middle School, where a music technology program was successfully launched, and a Student Teacher at Pinckneyville Middle School. Lawrence holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and a Master of Music in Wind Conducting from Louisiana State University, as well as a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. Academic achievements include being the valedictorian at Tri Cities High School.
