Matt Hiatt is a faculty member at Louisiana State University since January 2018, with a strong background in Environmental and Water Resources Engineering. Previous experience includes serving as a postdoctoral fellow at Utrecht University from September 2016 to December 2017 and at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2011 to July 2016, where Matt was also an NSF Graduate Research Fellow and Graduate Research Assistant. Prior to that, Matt gained practical experience as a Road Design Intern at the Kansas Department of Transportation and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Kansas. Educational qualifications include a PhD and a Master of Science in Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The University of Kansas.
