Matthew Calamia is an accomplished academic and clinical professional with extensive experience in psychology and psychiatry. Since August 2014, Calamia has served as Associate Dean of the Pinkie Gordon Lane Graduate School, Associate Professor, and Director of the Psychological Services Center at Louisiana State University. Additionally, Calamia has held positions as Adjunct Associate Professor and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Institute for Dementia Research and Prevention, Pennington Biomedical Research Center since August 2015. In December 2019, Calamia became Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at LSU Health Sciences Center/Our Lady of the Lake Hospital Psychiatry Residency Program. As a Clinical Neuropsychologist at Jefferson Neurobehavioral Group since March 2018, Calamia applies expertise in clinical psychology, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Iowa, supplemented by a clinical psychology internship at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
