Ope Owoyele

Ope Owoyele is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of Mechanical Engineering, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University since August 2021. With a solid background in computational fluid dynamics and machine learning, Ope has developed innovative techniques during a postdoctoral tenure at Argonne National Laboratory, where workflows and optimization methods were created to enhance simulation-driven design in energy systems. Prior experience includes a research fellowship at the National Energy Technology Laboratory focused on predictive modeling for power plants and research assistant roles at NC State University involving advanced simulation and machine learning applications. Ope holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. from North Carolina State University and a B.Eng. from the University of Ilorin.
