Stephania Cormier serves as the Associate Vice President for Health & Human Security at Louisiana State University since January 2018 and holds multiple academic positions, including Professor at Pennington Biomedical Research Center and Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Additionally, Stephania has been the Board Chair for the Pacific Basin Consortium since January 2019, where the focus is on addressing urgent environmental and health issues through collaborative research. Previously, Stephania was the Associate Vice Chancellor for Research - Global Partnerships at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center and contributed to pediatric infectious disease research as both a Plough Endowed Professor and Associate Professor at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Academic training includes a PhD from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and an Honors BS in Biology & Chemistry from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
