Summer Dann

Summer Dann serves as the Director at Louisiana State University, focusing on the promotion of STEM education and workforce development for Region II of the LASTEM network, having successfully secured over $3 million in funding for teacher professional development and STEM initiatives since February 2022. Previously, as Executive Director at EBR Career and Technical Education Center, responsibilities included overseeing the startup of the center, which encompassed instructor recruitment, facilities management, student admissions, curriculum development, and budget planning from September 2017 to February 2022. Earlier experience involves roles at ITI Technical College and Louisiana State University, where accomplishments included leading the ITI-USA Consulting Division and significantly growing the STEM Talent Expansion Project from 35 to over 1,000 students. Summer Dann holds a Master of Engineering and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Psychology, all from Louisiana State University.
