Troy Blanchard has an extensive academic career at Louisiana State University, where roles have included Interim Executive Vice President and Provost, Professor, and Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences since August 2007. In these positions, Troy has served as the chief academic officer, leading initiatives in research, teaching, service, and public outreach. Previously, Troy held the position of Associate Dean, providing executive leadership in faculty and staff management, as well as overseeing academic policy matters. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University from July 2001 to August 2007. Troy holds a PhD, MA, and BA in Sociology, all earned from Louisiana State University between 1991 and 2001.
