Dilip Risbud

Dilip Risbud, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Wide Bandgap Technologies and Product Development at L&T Semiconductor Technologies and as an Advisor at SemiX IIT Bombay, contributing to semiconductor industry-focused R&D and workforce development. Prior to these roles, Dilip was the Director of WBG Device Design and Development at Renesas Electronics, following the acquisition of Dialog Semiconductor, where Dilip led design engineering for SiC and GaN power semiconductors. With a robust background in GaN technology and power management spanning positions at Dialog Semiconductor, Quora Technology, NXP Semiconductors, and National Semiconductor, Dilip brings extensive expertise in product development, engineering management, and technology strategy. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, an MS in Solid State Physics from Kansas State University, and an MSEE from San José State University.
