Sam Herd

Sam Herd is an experienced event management professional currently serving as the Head of Event Planning and Delivery at LTA since January 2023. Previously, Sam held significant roles including Head of Venue Management for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and Director at RDO Events Ltd. Other notable positions include Deputy Head of Venue Operations for Japan Rugby 2019, Venue General Manager for various events including the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and Rugby World Cup, as well as Test Event Delivery Manager for Glasgow 2014. Sam's career began with a Bachelor of Arts in 3D Design specializing in Glass from the University of Wolverhampton.
