Simon Johnson

Simon Johnson serves as the Chief Executive of Tennis Wales Ltd since September 2018, providing strategic leadership to the National Governing Body for tennis and Padel in Wales, which engages 170,000 adults and 28,000 children annually on 1,100 courts. Additionally, Simon holds the position of Interim CEO at South Gloucestershire Council since May 2023 and represents Pilning & Severn Beach as a Liberal Democrat elected Councillor. As an LTA Councillor beginning in January 2023, Simon represents Wales and collaborates with Councillors from England, Scotland, and Directly Affiliated Organisations. Previous roles include Head of Region for the LTA in South West England & Channel Islands and Midlands & South West England, focusing on regional strategies to enhance participation in tennis. Simon also has experience as a Sales Manager for Marriott International, where responsibilities included managing a revenue-increasing team and providing training across award-winning hotels in southern England. Educational background includes study in Law, Economics, Business Studies, and English Language at Barton Peveril College.
