Cornelia Cheng

Cornelia Cheng has been a Managing Director, Investments with Brightwood Capital Advisors, LLC (Brightwood) since August 2019. In that role, Ms. Cheng focuses on providing a range of debt and minority equity growth capital to companies in the western region of the United States across five industry verticals: Healthcare Services, Business Services, Technology/Media/Telecom, Franchising, and Transportation & Logistics. Prior to joining Brightwood, she served as an independent consultant between January 2019 and August 2019. Prior to that, between 2012 and 2018, Ms. Cheng served at Prudential Private Capital (formerly Prudential Capital Group), most recently as Head of the Greater Los Angeles Investment Team, sourcing, executing, and managing a portfolio of private placement senior debt, mezzanine debt and minority equity investments in publicly traded and private companies across industries, including hospitals and REITs that invest in a range of property types, from commercial, industrial, retail, self-storage to senior housing properties. Ms. Cheng previously held positions in the high yield, leveraged finance, sponsor coverage, corporate finance, and debt capital markets groups with investment banking firm CIBC World Markets in New York and San Francisco. She was also previously with the M&A team, Internal Consulting Group, and Economics Department at First Interstate Bank in Los Angeles, CA.
