Ty Amell

Ty Amell is the current Chief Technology Officer at LTK. Ty has also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at AppDynamics and Director, Engineering & Ops TIO Networks at PayPal.

Ty started their career at First Round Fast Track as a Mentor in August 2019. Ty was responsible for leading a global team of 700 plus employees and was a member of the executive staff responsible for the overall success of the company.

In February 2019, Ty moved to AppDynamics as their Chief Technology Officer. Ty again was responsible for leading a global team of 700 plus employees and was a member of the executive staff responsible for the overall success of the company.

In December 2013, Ty joined PayPal as their Director, Engineering & Ops TIO Networks. Ty was responsible for moving over to TIO Networks during PayPal's acquisition of the company and led the product and technology integration. Ty also discovered the security breach and led the TIO side of the forensic investigation and notifications. Ty was the Senior PayPal leader in Vancouver when the shut down of services was announced and helped manage the company through the crisis until PayPal ultimately decided to shut down the company.

Ty Amell has a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University, with a concentration in Management Information Systems.
