Peter Lutz

Peter Lutz is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the health care and retail sectors. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Lucent Health since October 2025, Peter previously held the position of Chief Information Officer at Lifespark from April 2023 to November 2025. At Optum, from November 2016 to March 2023, Peter held dual roles as Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer within Optum Health, Population Health Solutions, alongside experience as Sr. Director of Optum Technology. Peter's earlier career includes significant roles at Target, including Director of Engineering and various managerial positions where responsibilities encompassed full application portfolio management and strategic technology initiatives. Additionally, Peter served as Director of Telephone Self Service at UnitedHealth Group, focusing on speech recognition technology. Peter holds an MBA in Information Management from the University of St. Thomas and a BS in Finance from St. Cloud State University, complemented by executive education at Stanford University.
