Guillermina Leon

Guillermina Leon, MAPS, BBA, is a HUD-Certified Housing Counselor at the Latin United Community Housing Association since August 2014, specializing in credit and foreclosure prevention counseling for low-income residents in Illinois. Guillermina has experience delivering first-time home buying and financial workshops, soliciting clients from Freddie Mac for foreclosure prevention, and collaborating with government housing agencies to enhance homebuyer assistance programs. Prior to this role, Guillermina worked as an Occupancy Specialist and HUD Housing Counselor at The Resurrection Project, focusing on tenant eligibility, educating junior staff on HUD guidelines, and developing financial literacy programs targeting Latina women. Additional experience includes working as a Conservation Specialist at Combined Insurance and managing tuition and financial aid at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School. Guillermina holds a Master in Pastoral Studies with a concentration in Hispanic Ministry from Catholic Theological Union and a Bachelor in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from National Louis University.
