James Whitcroft

James Whitcroft is a seasoned creative professional with extensive experience in game design and development. Currently serving as the Creative Director and Founder of Lucky Ghost since May 2022, James focuses on original game concepts and studio development. At Miicro, where James has worked since September 2004, responsibilities include creative direction, project management, and business development for a diverse range of clients. James's previous roles at Rockstar Games, spanning from October 2011 to May 2022, involved leading UI/UX design projects, including significant contributions to the design of systems and interfaces for major titles like Max Payne 3. Earlier experience at Rockstar North includes roles in tools support, web development, and games testing for acclaimed titles such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. James holds a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication from Edinburgh College of Art, attained between 1999 and 2002.
