Sofia Morais

Sofia Morais is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aquaculture nutrition and innovation. Currently serving as Innovation AQUA Team Leader at LUCTA SA since January 2015, Sofia coordinates the global aquaculture strategy and product development while providing technical support to key customers worldwide. Previous roles include Innovation Development Manager at LUCTA SA, where responsibilities encompassed the development of sensory and functional feed additives and project management across departments. Additionally, Sofia has held editorial board membership with the British Journal of Nutrition and has a strong research background, including post-doctoral fellowships and project leadership in various institutions such as the University of Stirling and University of Algarve. Sofia holds a PhD in Aquaculture Nutrition from Universidade do Algarve and has received advanced training from MIT Professional Education.
