Ryan Tanakit has held various roles in the product and research fields since 2011. In 2011, they were an OMEGA Intern at NASA Ames Research Center, where they worked on a feasibility study for algal bio fuels. In 2012, they were a Teacher's Assistant at the University of California, San Diego Rady School of Management, and a Solar Hydrogen Intern at SAIC. In 2013, they resumed their research from SAIC as a Solar Hydrogen Researcher at Talbot Lab - UC San Diego Nanoengineering. In 2015, they were a Test Engineer/Mechanical Test Technician at Element Materials Technology. From 2016 to 2019, they were the Research Department Head at PACIFIC VIAL MFG, INC. and then the VP - Product and Director of R&D at Lucy. During their roles, they managed and oversaw multiple projects, ensured regulatory compliance, and developed novel products.
Ryan Tanakit attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2022 to 2024, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Prior to that, they attended UC San Diego from 2009 to 2013 and earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering.
