Jan Pechstein

Jan Pechstein is an experienced professional in the aviation and environmental sectors, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Emissions Management & Sustainable Aviation Fuels at Lufthansa Group since October 2018. Previously, Jan worked as a pilot for Lufthansa and held a position as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter and doctoral candidate at Technische Universität Hamburg from April 2015 to September 2018. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Projektmitarbeiter at the Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany and completing military service in the Luftwaffe. Jan holds a B.Eng. in Luftfahrtsystemtechnik & Management from HSB Hochschule Bremen, an M.Sc. in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik from Technische Universität Berlin, and is pursuing a dissertation in Umwelttechnik at Hamburg University of Technology.
