Markus Linke currently serves as Head of Aeropolitical Relations & Corporate Traffic Rights at Lufthansa since June 2020, while also holding the position of Head of Aviation Security Regulatory & Compliance and serving as Deputy Head of the Task Force Regulatory Coronavirus. Prior to this role, Markus Linke was Head of Regulatory Affairs Flight Operations Group Airlines at Swiss International Air Lines from October 2019 to May 2020, and from February 2018 to September 2019, held the position of Head of Eurowings Group Security and Chief Security Officer at Eurowings. Markus Linke has an extensive background in aviation security, having served in various roles at Lufthansa from January 2007 to January 2018, including Director of Aviation Security Services and Head of the 24/7 Security Situation Center. Earlier experience includes a tenure at Lufthansa Systems as Executive Assistant to the Managing Director and Project Manager. Academic qualifications include a Magister Artium in Linguistics, Political Science, and History from the University of Duisburg-Essen and further education at Georgetown University.
