Simon Ambrosius

Simon Ambrosius is a highly experienced aviation professional with a robust background in aircraft operations and management. As Co-Founder and Managing Director at ALPEN AIR since January 2021, Simon holds the role of Accountable Manager, overseeing operational compliance. Simon has also served as Captain of the Airbus A350 at Lufthansa since January 2020, managing both ultra long and ultra short-range flights. Prior experience includes a tenure at Condor Flugdienst GmbH from July 2008 to January 2020, where Simon held positions such as Captain of the Airbus A319, A320, A321, and served as Flight Safety Officer, focusing on Flight Data Management and Safety Management. Additional roles include serving as a Senior First Officer for Lufthansa Cargo and various captain and training positions at Lufthansa from January 2001 to January 2006. Simon holds a Master’s degree in Lufttransport from City St. George’s, University of London, obtained between 2007 and 2010, and completed flight training at Lufthansa from 1998 to 2000.
