Stefan Lau

Stefan Lau serves as Senior Director of Aircraft Handling, Baggage Services, and Capacity Planning at Lufthansa since December 2018, following a prior role as Senior Director and Head of Ground Operations for Africa at Lufthansa German Airlines. Lau's extensive career at Lufthansa spans from 1993 to 2016 in various management roles, including Managing Director & Station Manager in Thailand, where responsibilities included leading ground handling services and managing station operations, as well as overseeing load control. Notable earlier positions involved station management in Los Angeles and various roles across Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, and Albania, focusing on operations, sales, and customer service enhancement. Lau began the career as a Travel Agent and later became Deputy Manager at Lufthansa City Center Dresden, contributing to the establishment of the first center. Education was completed at Markgraefler Gymnasium from 1979 to 1988.
