The Lulu Light, a sleep app built around using hypnagogia as the path to sleep.

Hypnagogia is the name for the halfway state between wakefulness and sleep - you go into a hypnagogic state every night on your way to falling asleep.

Lulu uses specific frequencies of light from your phone’s flashlight to guide you into a hypnagogic state within just a few minutes.  No training or equipment needed; just you, your phone and a dark room. 

The lights are paired with our custom-composed sleep sounds from our own record label, Lulu Sounds (launching soon!), with tracks like 'Pink Rain' or 'White Ocean’.  These original soundscapes are built by real composers, just for us, blending colour-frequency noise with nature sounds in a way that's never been done before.

We're in active Beta with strong early retention — 3 months of data show that 30% of users are back roughly every other night, and we've run over 700 full sessions.
