Torsten Scheuermann

Torsten Scheuermann is an experienced leader in research and development, currently serving as Director of Advanced Projects and Senior Director R+D at LUMA Vision since April 2020. Prior experience includes Head of R+D at Getinge overseeing PULSION Medical Systems, and CTO at coramaze technologies GmbH, where Scheuermann was responsible for developing the Mitramaze® system. Additional roles include Director of Strategic Business Development and Head of Polymertechnology at Admedes Schuessler GmbH, and Head of Research+Development at Boston Scientific Technology Center in Munich. Scheuermann's career began at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft as a Project Manager and progressed to Head of ICT's US subsidiary at Fraunhofer USA. Academic qualifications include a Master of Business Administration from Technical University of Munich, a PhD in engineering from University of Stuttgart, and a Diplomingenieur from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
