Patrick Handel

Patrick Handel is currently the Head of Product at LumaTax. Patrick has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on project management, business analysis, and technical skills.

Handel started their career at TeamSoft Inc. in February 2016 as a Senior Project Manager Consultant. There, they were responsible for managing four large interrelated project work streams, including the development of a retirement services website, mobile application, and technical services. Patrick was also integral in the implementation of Agile/Scrum and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) fundamentals.

In June 2018, Handel joined BDO USA, LLP as their Managing Director and SALT Technology Transformation Leader. In this role, they were responsible for innovating web-based and desktop applications to solve specific, unique business problems faced by the global company. Patrick found success with a high degree of independence, leveraging their project management, business analytical, and technical skills to find unique and creative ways to work across boundaries in a complex global environment.

Handel is currently the Head of Product at LumaTax. In this role, they are responsible for leading the product team and ensuring that they are delivering high-quality products that meet the needs of the customer. Patrick is also responsible for managing the product roadmap and ensuring that the products are aligned with the company's strategy.

Patrick Handel started their educational career by earning a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Patrick then went on to earn a Math degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Their manager is Robert Schulte, Founder & CEO. Patrick Handel works with Farhan Sarwar - VP, Engineering, Valerie Heckman - Director Of Business Development, and Matthew Greene - Head of User Experience.
