Drew Tack

Senior Scientist

Drew Tack has extensive experience in scientific research and development, beginning with a role as a Graduate Research Associate at the University of Texas at Austin from August 2011 to January 2017, followed by a position as a Research Biologist in Cellular Engineering at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from January 2017 to March 2021. While at NIST, Drew Tack contributed to innovative methodologies for engineering transcription factors and developed a method utilizing advanced next-gen sequencing techniques. From March 2021 to January 2024, Drew Tack served as a Senior Scientist Project Lead at Absci, focusing on overcoming challenges related to protein therapeutics, where strategic planning, goal setting, and risk assessment were key responsibilities. Currently, Drew Tack holds the position of Senior Scientist at Lumen Bioscience, starting in January 2024. Drew Tack's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Utah and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.
