Jim Roberts

Jim Roberts is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Lumen Bioscience. Jim was previously the Founder of Matrix Genetics, where they worked on algal biofuels from September 2006 to May 2017. Prior to that, they were with Targeted Growth Inc. and America's Foundation for Chess. Jim began their career as an Investigator with Howard Hughes Medical Institute from January 1996 to December 2006, before moving to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

Jim Roberts attended Scarsdale High School, Amherst College, and Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Jim earned their BA in biology from Amherst College and their M.D./Ph.D. in medicine/biochemistry from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Jim Roberts reports to Brian Finrow, CEO & Co-Founder. They are on a team with Don Schlosser - CFO, Cristin Wagner - VP & Head of Legal, and Carl Mason - Senior Medical Director.
